The United Mexican States or Mexico
(Spanish: Estados Unidos Mexicanos or México is a country located
in North America, bordered by the United States to the north, and
Belize and Guatemala to the Southeast. Mexico is divided into 31 states
and a federal district. Each state has its own constitution  and
its citizens elect a governor as well as representatives to their
respective state congresses. The Federal District is a special political
divsion in Mexico, where the national capital, Mexico City, is located.
Since the height of Mayan and Aztec civilizations, Mexico has suffered
the destructive force of the conquistadors, European colonial rule,
civil and territorial wars, rebellions, dictatorships, recessions
and earthquakes. Yet the people of Mexico remain warm and friendly,
