using buses in Cabo San Lucas Buses - If you are on a budget local buses are a cheap way to get around Cabo San Lucas, also there are buses that run to Todos Santos and La Paz. The main stop for buses that travel around Cabo San Lucas is on the corner of Blvd Lázaro Cárdenas. The buses will stop at any beach or at any hotel that you request along their route. You can catch a bus from Tijuana, it can take up to 28 hours to travel the 1,000 miles to Cabo. Rental cars in Cabo San Lucas Rental Cars - If you are staying on the Corridor, it is wise to rent a car, since taxis can get pretty pricey. However, if you are staying in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose, it is easy to walk to many of the common attractions. Many people decide to rent a car for day trips to Todos Santos or La Paz. Also you might save money in the long run and avoid haggling with cab drivers.

Cabs are affordable and government-regulated, but it is wise to ask the taxi driver before getting into a cab what the charge will be, as rates are not listed on the outside of the cab.
Driving in Cabo San Lucas Driving in Cabo - Depending on the time of year Cabo San Lucas can be a challenge to get around. There streets and traffic can get clogged and it will be very difficult to find parking. Also since there are no street numbers tourists are always driving really slow and sometimes not really paying attention in search for a business or attraction. The streets, especially during the college spring break months of March and April, are clogged with vehicles all in search of parking. Free public parking can be found at the south end of Blvd Marina, but it generally fills quickly. You can always rent a scouter, which will allow you to get around and park quite easily.
Getting Around on Foot in Cabo San Lucas Getting around Cabo on Foot - The best way to get around Cabo San Lucas is to either walk or take a taxi. It is a small town, so everything is very close and you shouldn't have to walk more than 15 minutes to get from one spot to another. Most hotels provide shuttles free of charge. Some just go to other hotels, but if the destination hotel is close to town, you can walk.
Water Taxis in Cabo Water Taxis - One of the more exciting ways to get around, and sometimes it is the only way to get to places is by the use of water taxis. For example, if you'd like to go from The Office at Medano Beach to Lovers Beach, the only way to get there is by water taxi. They are easy to spot; just look for one of the boats that looks like this one pulled up onto the beach and walk up and negotiate a price. Most charge between $3-$10. If you are going to Lovers Beach, you can pre-arrange a time for them to pick you up.
