Oct 15-28 Festival of the Missions - This large cultuaral festival thakes place in Loreto. It is one of the bigger festivals that take place in Baja California. This festival recieves federal funding and assistance. art and other cultural activities take place.

Dec. 1-3 Fiesta de San Francisco Javier - This is festival commemoreates the founding of the village of San Javier. As a penance or people from Loreto walk the 32 mile journey to San Javier. There is mariachis, cock fights, street performers and excellent foods from the region.
