Rosarito Spring Break

Home >> Mexico Destinations >> Rosarito >> Rosarito Attractions >> Rosarito Spring Break
Around March and April, Rosarito experiences a flood of college students (usually from the United States) who travel to Rosarito to party. For just about all of these students, drinking alcohol is usually the reason why they come to Rosarito. The drinking age in Mexico is 18; while in the United States, it is 21. In the U.S., spring break ranges from the end of February to mid-April, but most schools are out the first two weeks of March. In Canadian universities, it is known as Reading week and is in late February or early March. Spring break is also celebrated by K-12 institutions, and is also known as March break. March break is invariably one or both of the middle two weeks of March. Some K-12 institutions coincide their spring break with Easter. Rosarito Spring Break
Spring Break in Rosarito Rosarito is always a Spring Break hotspot, mainly due to its location from the border. The beaches and bars will be in full force. Expect to pay two to three times what you will normally pay, plus expect to pay a $20 to $30 cover charge at any popular bar. If you want to avoid the crowds consider some of the smaller bars or cantinas, they will have just as many people but you wont have to climb over people to get a drink. If you plan on going to rosarito during spring break, book your hotel really early, because all the hotels will be sold out.
