Shopping in Tijuana is so much fun because about 100% of all items being purchased are negotiable when using US dollars. While shopping in Tijuana you will find everything is much cheaper, including leather goods, cosmetics, medications, imports, blankets, rugs, cigarettes, and of course liquor. There are so many different items you can find while shopping in Tijuana they cannot all be listed. Just take the San Diego trolley to the border and walk across into Tijuana, as thousands of international visitors do each day. Follow those same crowds right to Avenida Revolucion for a day trip you’ll never forget. Below is a list of some of the stores and shops located at Tijuana Baja California, Mexico. Tijuana Shopping

Avenida Revolución - This is the most popular tourist shopping attraction. Located right over the border. Revolucion is a 8 block shop till you drop extravaganza. Many foreigners travel here to drink, buy prescription drugs, bootleg brand-name clothing and accessories, and Mexican curiosities.

Mercado Hidalgo - Is located just five minutes from the border. This area is not frequented by many tourist, however it is where locals go to buy their go to buy their produce and specialty items. This Mexican market is a good place to buy Mexican candies, chilies, spices and other Mexican specialties.

Plaza Rio - This is a shopping mall located just a few minutes away from the US border. The mall hosts a variety of shops, which sell a wide array of things, ranging from cheap Mexican curiosities to expensive imports. The Plaza Rio also represents a common place for the people to socialize.

Plaza Zapato - Is a two story enclosed mall. This is where you go to find everything “shoe”. Plaza Zapato offers leather clothing, boots and shoes for both men and women. The cost of the leather shoes and assecaries usually are about half the cost as they would be in the U.S.
